While you cannot connect your BlackBerry to your iPhone for
contact transferring, you can first sync your iPhone with Microsoft Outlook,
and then sync Outlook to your BlackBerry device. This is an easy and straight
forward process, but first you must have both iTunes and blackberry desktop
manager installed in your computer. The
BlackBerry Desktop Manager is an application for BlackBerry devices that allows
you to sync information from your computer to your phone and back and can be
downloaded for free from the BlackBerry website and also you can download iTunes
from the apple website.
To get started, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Plug the iPhone USB cable into your iPhone, and plug
the remaining end into your computer's empty USB port.
Step 2: Click "Start," "All Programs,"
"Apple" and "iTunes" to open iTunes. Click the
"iPhone" tab located in the "Devices" section on the iTunes
sidebar.
Step 3: Click the "Info" tab and check the box next
to "Sync Outlook Contacts." Click the circle next to "All
Contacts" to sync all of your contacts, or click "Selected
groups" to sync specific groups. Click the selected groups you wish to
sync and click the "Apply" button.
Step 4: Disconnect the iPhone from your computer once the
synchronization completes, and plug your BlackBerry's USB cable into your
BlackBerry phone. Plug the other end of the USB cable into your computer's USB
port.
Step 5: Click "Start," "All Programs,"
"BlackBerry" and "BlackBerry Desktop Manager."
Step 6: Click "Synchronize" on the sidebar click
"Configure" and "Synchronization." Check the box next to
"Address Book" and select "Outlook."
Step 7: Select the "One way sync to Device" option,
and click "Next" and "Finish."
Step 8: Check the box next to "Synchronize organizer
data" and click the "Synchronize" button to begin the transfer
from Outlook.
